This Saturday, Japan launched a satellite, Kizuna. If all goes well, starting in July Kizuna will provide commercial users with the fastest Internet on Earth. Less speedy is the faster-than-fiber-optic connection speeds that the average user can access with just an 18-inch-wide dish. Those speeds will be available to offices and homes in remote areas, places that don’t have the necessary telecommunications infrastructure.

meron kay pinagkaiba ito? satellite internet has been avalable for awhile now and hasnt been popular due to its one critical problem - very high latency. basing sa article its still the same - following a geosynchoronous orbit height ganun pa rin ata to

Satellite internet for US Defence really works, video conferencing, missile, ship, uav, all remote system works, the downside is that it is very expensive to maintain. The satellite internet only contribute to our internet by only 10%.
