  1. lols..

    tsk.tsk.tsk. lols.

  2. why jumping to a conclusion?? hhhmmm.. let me run a diagnostic analysis.. naks bago yan ha! hahaha
let's deduce the problem.. baka makita mo. hahaha

    1. lusca/squid - ON or OFF - problem still exist - definitely not a lusca/squid problem.
    2. Directly connected to a PC - games works ok. - definitely nothing wrong with the PC or the Browser or the patch installed.
    3. PC connected to pfsense - games won't work.

o ayan, deductive reasoning na yan, so why he concluded there's something wrong with pfsense?? esep-esep.. lols.

    so nasa lusca ang problema.
ginagawa ko nilagay ko ang "bmpatch.bandmaster.com.ph" do not cache under cache mgmt.

delay_pools? yes nothing to do, that was accidentally copied to my own config sige copyahin mo its free :) alangan naman na i lagay ko buong configuration ko ASA KA
pwede mo comment nito "#" para hindi basahin ni squid sa side mo kung walang gamit, mostly yan ang gawain ng mga prog instead of deleting the directives.

i'm just giving a hint sa situation nya.

Next Time kung babanat ka yong tataob ako ha :)

    excuse me..
the "override-expire" and "override-lastmod" will force squid to cache.

please see refresh_pattern na post nya.
    Code:
    refresh_pattern ^http://*.sf.* 4320 80% 43200 override-expire override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
    refresh_pattern ^http://update.cabal.* 4320 80% 43200 override-expire override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload
    refresh_pattern ^http://download.cabal.* 4320 80% 43200 override-expire override-lastmod reload-into-ims ignore-reload

  10. ah.. so you have no clue what the refresh_pattern is used for..

let me educate you a bit about refresh_pattern, those parameters you used "override-expire" and "override-lastmod "IS not to forced cache the object but rather NOT to replace what you already have. squid will cache anything BUT ignoring the header for any metadata will only make squid to RETAIN and NOT REPLACED the one you already cached, basahin mo kasi ang purpose ng refresh_pattern. kaya nga "REFRESH" ang ipinangalan dyan eh. hindi mo ba nabasa ang root word? REFRESH...REFRESH..REFRESH.

the no_cache directives IS WHAT YOU WILL USE if you want the squid to cache or to NOT cache anything.

here.. try this, para maintindihan mo ang "forced cache" na sinasabi mo.

damihan mo ang refresh_pattern mo and increase its expiry time to maximum, then use the "no_cache allow all" and see what will happen... never mind, don't wait.. ito ang result, your refresh_pattern WILL HAVE NO EFFECT as squid will NOT cache anything.

hindi mo pa rin naiintindihan ang "force cache"?? try to answer this and perhaps you will come to your senses and realized it by yourself..

what do you need to do to "forced cache" a dynamic content? is it by refresh_pattern? is it by acl? or is it by "cache or no_cache" directives?

  11. dahil wala kay lusca ang problema mo..

just because you installed lusca, you thought lusca was the problem, what you and sa-joedy never realized is this.

when you installed lusca your PFsense configuration WAS modified. kaya afte you installed lusca, your games wont start and AFTER you stopped lusca, still your game won't start THAT IS because the problem was not in lusca,

does your game uses port 80 to connect to the update server which requires lusca? if not then lusca HAS nothing to do with it. IF your X-Trap uses other ports then ang problem mo is hindi si lusca as it doesn't use the lusca facility, and tignan mo ay ang firewall rules mo, especially yung "redirection" part na ginawa ni pfsense when you installed lusca.

    naiintindihan mo ba yan?

ngayon if your game server USES port 80 to connect to the update server and pfsense uses the lusca to transparently connect you to the server, then pfsense MODIFIES your http header which x-trap DETECTED it as a form of CHEATING. - ang gawim mo, try mong i-disable ang transparent cache settings mo and disable lusca, and see what will happen.

just because x-trap gives you an error ang tinignan nyo agad ay ang lusca as the source of problem?? hahah bakit hindi nyo ba naisip na baka hindi naman "http get" ang ginamit ni x-trap? or baka may sarili syang protocol to connect to the server and it doesn't use the lusca service?

    aruy!. hahahaha

  15. lols. exactly my point!
