    Plasma is the best hehehe

since its use the so called 4th type of matters hehehe the gas of plasma

plasma is best for home cinema specially on light controlled environment and it has wide angle viewing.. no matter where you site you can still get clear vivid picture

LCD is best for games hehehe

LED is realy energy savings hehehehe also LED is a technology that is also an LCD

so only two are competing.. LCD TV (either FULL LED or with LED Technology) vs PLASMA TV

pag po tv disregard mo na yung LCD kasi di sya masyado maganda pag may motion makikita mo yung burns na naiiwan sa screen pag biglang nag black. mag plasma ka nalang, pero kung may budget ka LED are superb when it comes to quality and performance. manipis pa mostly ang design kasi newer technology ang LED. correct me nalang if im wrong guys.

And to add to that, LED has longer lamp life compared to LCD and it is more durable

^tiyak yun mababawi nya sa kuryente ang extrang ginastos. in 1 year 50% ang matitipid nya against plasma pag nag LED sya,.

as far as i know wala yan sa plasma, led or lcd ang technology. nasa microprocessor ng manufacturer yan if they will support PIP viewing or yung windowed viewed of different channel at the same time on the same screen cut into how many windows. as to how many windows showing different channel will depend on how big your screen is and how many windows will the manufacturer allow or the board.

di nga ako makatulog kasi excited na ako bumili ng tv e. he he

    @topic

anong mas mahal sa kuryente, plasma o crt?

mas gusto ko kasi plasma kasi mas mataas ang contrast. i'm more on the contrast and less on the vividness. ayoko kasi ng masyadong vivid, kasi malayo na sa natural color. kahit nga sa mga photographs ko desaturated pa ng konti e. he he

anu yung screen size na balak mong bilhin? the larger the screen size the slower the display... pero hindi gaano noticeable unless particular or metikuloso ka... "response time" is also important lalo na kun pang HDTV balak mong bilhin or kung very keen ka sa details.

anu plano mo sa TV, more on watching cable channel or purely watching hi-def movies? saka gaano katagal kang manood?

Plasma TV would be perfect choice kaya lang expensive! pag minalas na pundi na ilaw mo... mahirap humanap at medyo may kamahalan... minsan may parang ghosting yung plasma tv... maganda kasi plasma kung mahilig kang manood talaga! parang may F1 car ka sa garahe pero hindi mailabas sa kalye at mahal pa maintenance... kaya mag Ferrari, Porschre, Lamborghini, Bugatti ka nalang... which is LED TV (h'wag kana mag LCD unless gusto mo...)

parang CRT monitor... hindi mo ma encounter dead pixel, stuck pixel, response time, or parang may delay sa display...

Kung may budget ka sa PLASMA at dun ka masaya! go for go! pero kung ako, I'll go for LED TV instead... hanap nalang ng may magandang features at swak sa budget, but hey, that's just me.

Plasma has a big edge on LED vs LCD.

Kahit CRT pwede gawin yan, all you need is the right hardware behind the screen to create a mixed signal

walang kinalaman sa type of screen yan

Of crouse depende sa gpu and cpu behind the monitor

    @Laserion

mostly high def movies and a lil bit of cable tv.

    tama. masyadong mahal ang plasma.

i want to go for a 37-42 inch na tv. nasa 10ft din kasi ang viewing distance.

im now torn between LG 42LD460 and Samsung LA40C530.

matibay ba ang LG TVs? how about picture quality?

Hard to tell... better check for online reviews between LG 42LD460 and Samsung LA40C530 pero the best way is ask for a demo (tapos pa adjust mo sa normal settings... pag sa local malls kasi sinasagad nila yung settings) kung saan mo balak bilhin yung TV... tapos do a comparison test by yourself kung ano mas maganda sa paningin mo... (minsan kasi kanya kanya tingin ng tao.. masmaganda eto para sa kanya dahil mas buhay yung kulay, yung isa naman sabi mas maganda yun kasi live-na-live yung color very natural and realistic...) kung pwede dala ka ng demo disc mo... sa internet dami demo disc ma download na pang HDTV from sony, samsung, philips,lg,etc demo video...

kung mag base ka naman sa technical hardware details... it's up to you din kung yun ang gawin mong basihan sa pagpili ng maganda... like mp3 yung isa encoded sa 160bitrate pero yung isa sa 128bitrate lang pero mas maganda ang tunog... malinis at klaro... sarap pakingan...

with proper care and handling tatagal din ang tv mo kahit mapa LG, Samsung, Sony, Philips, etc.. ang brand unless malasin ka at may problem issue talaga yung model na ganun.

ba't nag eerror etong page kanina...

simple as this LG and SAMSUNG same lang. LG Covers the lower market while Samsung is their frontliner for higher market i.e. Sony Etc. pero pareho lang technology nila, same quality. same as Acer is for higher market then they came up with a lower cost name called A-Open before now its Emachines.

i dont think very expensive ang plasma relative to lcd/led, halos same price lang sila above 42", though walang small sizes for plasma panels.

LG added some features on their panels, such as direct usb connection whereas you can play high def mkv formats (as long as ac3 encoded) without the use of third party hardware player, same goes with the Samsung series 4 and above.

Both Samsung and LG tremendously improved a lot relative to Sony panels nowadays.

Panasonic VT series is now the reference tv and boast the best HDTV in the world, the outstanding VT20/25 series, when Pioneer Kuro ceased to manufacture, also the reason why I chose Panasonic for my 50" plasma panels.

For pure movie pleasure, better stick to Plasma, you cant go wrong. :D
