    bakit IPX/SPX and heading?

    this is a protocol use for Novell Networking...

    well windows 3.1 is easy to install.. make a backup copy folder and when the system crash.. just format and copy the backup.. presto back again..however for networking ... you use windows 3.1 workgroup... heehehe

    you have to install then the trumpet winsocket just to be able to browse the net (via LAN config)... hey, anyone knows how to get a copy of this legacy? hehehehehe

    @genexide

    MMX is technology thats came out together with Pentium II... so Pentium II with MMX technology heehehehe

    before Intel Pentium I 100mhz became a craze so to speak.. mga PC nun ginagamit namin was AMD-DX2 486 90Mhz for workstation and for server its AMD-DX486 60Mhz heheheheh.. file server novell hehehehe..... tapos labas Penitum I or 586 and now all craze for windows 95 hehehehe...

    :) hay buhay... technology really fast...

    gone are the days when the fastest connection ISP has is fractional T1 from 64Kbps to 128Kbps.. hehehehe... at pinag yayabang pa nang mga ISP at mga corporation ang T1 or 1.5mbps connection nila... fastest na nun hehehe eh ngayon yung 1.5mbps kulelat na.. kailangan DS3 or above ka na.. 45mbps to 155mbps hehehehehe otherwise your the lousy ISP if your backbone still in T1 hehehehehe

    :)

    back then windows 3.1 has no peer to peer communication.. and can only communicate with each via a central server or file server.. common back then is Novell Netware.. ... and you can only communicate with other windows 3.1 via IPX/SPX

    and IPX/SPX is a protocol that was introduce by Novell Netware

    netbeui or the enhance netbios was introduce in windows 95 and NT... this pave the way to peer to peer networking... and this is the protocol that was introduce by M*****ft...

    however, later on... netbeui, ipx/spx, apple talk, etc... was replace by the most common inter platform protocol.. that is TCP/IP.. this new protocal allow two different OS or LAN Architecture to be able to communicate with other with out the use of expensive devices act as a gateway... so Windows OS can communicate with Mac OS, SUN Solaris, Alpha DEC, VMS.. hehehe and later became the common ground for INTERNET... it destroy the boundary...

    @hotbreed

    aba pwede na yan pang museum ako tinatapon ko na.. kaso nakalimutan ko.. parte na pala sya nang history hehehe tssskkk,.. wag mong itapon... hehehehe..

  15. Wow naglabasan ang matatanda. Hehehehe... Meron pa ako installer ng windows 3.11. Natatandaan ko pa dati kailangan mo pa magpabili sa HK ng installer. Tapos yung CDROM drive ko pa nun ay 2X. Di pa uso MP3 nun. WAV palang at MOD. Remember ATZ, ATDT<<telnumber>>, at ang pinaka sikat na <<No Carrier>>. Hahaha...
