sa emulator ko lng kinukuha to..

dapat bng nka AES ung encryption and anu sir ung "PSK Passphrase"?

paano ako mag set ng password para sa pc and sa wireless router?
kwiki - Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:53 pm
Post subject:
okay na yan merks. yung psk passphrase will server as key parang password. if you have time basahin mo yung mga type ng encryption.

ahh.. ok ok.. bali ung user name b ung SSID? tama ba then ung password ay ung passphrase?

sa WEP key pede ka gumawa ng sarili mo na mas madali mong tandaan.. yung sa amin pinak simple lang nilagay ko.. wep key 12345678 hehehehee
merks19 - Fri Jun 26, 2009 2:58 pm
Post subject:
@neil
wep key 1 ung user name and 12345678 ung password..tama po?

Unwired - Fri Jun 26, 2009 3:31 pm

Do not use WEP, use WPA with 128bit AES or something,

Securing:
1. WPA with 128bit or PARAPHRASE password protect
2. Hide SSID Broadcast
3. Mac Filtering - set the laptop mac address to your Access point so that only that laptop is allowed to access even they crack the WPA if they do...

If indeed the attacker has the talent on how to discover hidden SSID will you have WPA and MAC filtering enabled

Well merk, I suggest better read Hacking Exposed: Wireless and How to Cheat Wireless Security...

@neil, you have worst security setup, I can fire my backtrack and crack that for few seconds....

P.S
Just a thought if the router has WPA-2, use that...
merks19 - Fri Jun 26, 2009 3:52 pm

hide ssid broadcast? sya b ung visibility status sa dlink and Enable SSID Broadcast sa tp-link...

ok tnx sa advice.. im just want to secure ung wireless ng servisan ko mamaya..ala kasi ako laptop kea ala ako mapagpractisan ng wireless..

salamat sa lahat..

WPA Enterprise
wpa algorithm: TKIP or AES
Radius Server Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Radius Port: xxxx
Radius Key:
Key Renewal Timeout: seconds

WPA2personal same as WPA eto lng naiba
wpa algorithm: AES or TKIP+AES

WPA2Enterpise eto din
wpa algorithm: AES or TKIP+AES

RADIUS same as WEP meron lng
Radius Server address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Radius Port: xxxx

WEP
Default Transmit Key:
WEP Encryption:

I never hide my SSID and do MAC Filtering for some Evil or Very Mad reasons. You know what I mean. Laughing

yung uncle ko kasi umuwi galing U.S. may dala siyang laptop at ginagamit nya yung magicjack yung unit niya nasa itaas ng unit ko
so naka enable ngayon yung wireless feature ng router ko.

Router Settings
Wireless G - Mode
Wireless SSID Broadcast - enabled (di makikita nung laptop pag naka disable)
WPA Personal - Password enabled
Wireless MAC Filter - enabled (even if someone knows the password he/she cannot access the wireless network) Evil or Very Mad

No degradation in my router's performance kahit na gamit ko pa sya dito sa Cafe.
